Life giving love between a man and woman

This has been on my mind lately...life giving love between a man and woman. It originates from our Creator and has potential to be amazing! 1 Peter 4:7 tells us, "Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins." That love which we first come to know from His sacrifice, the cross is that representation, a love that covers a multitude of sins for all time. It is love we encounter daily from all around us, especially family. I love my husband, our children, our parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, and close friends! I especially love that the Lord has loved me unconditionally from the beginning of time and has brought all these people into my life to allow me to love and be loved.
In the commitment that marriage makes between man and woman, that love from Christ is the foundation for any marriage to be blessed and work for the rest of those two peoples lives. I look back to when I accepted to spend the rest of my life with Lucas, it was in the time of getting to know one another that we also got to know how much love comes from the Lord. We knew from the beginning that our lives were meant to have that love from the Lord and knew that He had amazing plans for us! At our wedding our nuptial blessing was this: "My dear friends, let us turn to the Lord and pray that He will bless with His grace this woman Krystle now married in Christ to this man Lucas and that he will unite in love the couple He has joined in this holy bond. Father, by your power you have made everything out of nothing. In the beginning you created the universe and made mankind in your own likeness. You gave man the constant help of woman so that man and woman should no longer be two, but one flesh, and you teach us that what you have united may never be divided...Father, keep them always true to your commandments. Keep them faithful in marriage and let them be living examples of Christian life. Give them the strength which comes from the gospel so that they may be witnesses of Christ to others. Bless them with children and help them to be good parents." There was more to it but to shorten it a bit I only put some main points to make sense with these thoughts. This is a beautiful prayer that I look at often just to remember that we have certain commitments within our marriage to help each other reach our main goal, heaven. I especially look at the part to be blessed with children which we already have been! We try our hardest to be good parents!!
It is amazing how our love as husband and wife can make a new little life!!! Being parents is a life changing experience that has made us more in love with one another!
